New Women Space, Brooklyn, NY
April 21 - April 23, 2017
Perceptions of Us is an independently curated group exhibition featuring Asian-American artists and designers: Agnes Tai, Anh Le, Mia Rubin, and Nathaniel Wu. Work in the exhibit represents each artist’s unique perspective of their identities with respect to race, culture, gender, and nuanced individual experiences. The gallery features collections of personal stories, interactive installations, garment and textile design, and participatory performance. Through the medium of fashion, a space is created to facilitate discussions on the Asian community in America.
BEYOND:
collective exhibition
Parsons the New School for Design
May 21, 2016 - May 23, 2016
Beyond Collective is an exhibition designed in order to give selected Parsons Fashion students the opportunity to showcase their visions of the future of fashion.
This is a collective curatorial experience that empowers designers in their transition between junior and senior year. Beyond Collective will reflect on ways to redefine fashion as a collective movement, rather than a degree.
This event is part of the Parsons Festival at The New School.
